What it is: L-carnitine is a component, mainly found in foods of animal origin, such as beef, milk, etc., and can also be composed by your body. In many cases, lack of L-carnitine is observed, either due to reduced intake, such as in vegetarians and vegans, or due to reduced composition, such as sports people or the elderly.

How it works: Studies have shown that carnitine administration enhances the anaerobic capacity of the body and muscle function. In older people, carnitine administration contributes to the reduction of fatigue and to the improvement of nervous functions, with parallel increase of muscle mass.
