Troxiven Phlebitis and Spider Veins

icon

What is a venous disease?

Veins are responsible for the return of blood back to the heart. In case of a venous disease, the valves of veins do not function perfectly leading to blood regression and difficulty returning it back to the heart.  Therefore, blood is accumulated in the lower extremities and pressure is augmented in veins, thus unpleasant symptoms are generated.

What are the symptoms?

The initial stages of venous insufficiency may not be accompanied by symptoms; however, in most cases, pain, burning, itching, feeling of heavy calves, swelling, numbing and skin distortions are noticeable.

Stage of chronic venous disease

icon Stage 1 (C1)

Spider veins: small, thin veins beneath the skin surface, which are immediately apparent.

icon Stage 2 (C2)

Varicose veins: veins of a wider diameter, which are extended to the lower extremities.

icon Stage 3(C3)

Varicose veins with an edema: varicose veins combined with an edema on the lower extremities.

icon Stage 4 (C4)
Pigmentation: all the above-mentioned accompanied by skin distortions in the form of pigmentation
icon Stage 5 (C5)
Inflammation: a combination of all the previous stages along with skin and subcutaneous hardening, which is found in the form of inflammation
iconStage 6 (C6)

Venous ulcer: skin inflammation is now accompanied by skin opening, entry of germs and extended inflammation of the skin.

What factors contribute to their occurrence?

There are various risk factors relating to the occurrence of venous disease:

    • Heredity
    • Standing
    • Sedentary living
    • Age
    • Obesity and non-balanced diet, rich in fats
    • Hormonal imbalance
    • Pregnancy
    • Tight clothes
    • Constipation
    • Several sports related to intense venous pressure, such as weightlifting
    • Previous thrombosis mainly on the deep network of veins that leads to damage to its valves

Suggestions

  • Keep your feet in a vascular position, especially while sleeping
  • Add physical exercise to your daily routine
  • Have a cold foot bath at the end of a tiring day
  • Control your body weight, in cases of being overweight or obese
  • Avoid standing or sitting for long periods of time
  • Do not lift weights
  • Avoid hot foot baths and high sun exposure
  • Avoid wearing tight clothes and high heels

What is Troxiven;

The new combination proposal for varicose veins, phlebitis and spider veins.

icon Τroxiven Retard
A balanced combination of 3 flavonoids and folic acid. Diosmin, hesperidin and troxerutin all contribute to the adequate functionality and tone of the capillary/venous system. They act against the fragility of capillaries and veins and improve microcirculation through their antioxidant effect, while folic acid also contributes to blood production
Method of taking the pill: 1 tablet per day on an empty stomach

icon Τroxiven Gel
Troxiven Gel is a dermatologically tested cold gel that consists of 10 ingredients. For example, the combination of 3 flavonoids contributes to better blood flow in microcirculation, thanks to their antioxidant effect, while Asian pennywort contributes to the integrity of connective tissue and improves capillary permeability. All the ingredients found in Troxiven Gel are rich sources of flavonoids
Methos of application: Spread 2–3 times during the day in the affected area. In order to increase its cryotherapeutic action, keep it in the fridge
