What it is: Calendula is a beautiful wildflower, very common in Europe’s countryside. It is a crop relative to the daisy, and its flowers are intense yellow or orange.

How it works: : Calendula contains a series of beneficial components that offer therapeutic effects. In particular, it contains saponins, carotenoids, sterols, flavonoids and essential oils. Thanks to them, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity and provides protection against the damage caused by UV rays of the sun. Moreover, it intervenes in reducing inflammation, enhances the healing of damaged tissue due to skin conditions. In fact, in combination with aloe vera it is very effective in relieving irritation and nappy rash caused in babies and toddlers.
