Drosera

Drosera
What it is: Drosera is a plant that grows on scrublands in many regions of the northern hemisphere. It requires sunlight (it doesn’t grow in the shade) and wet or damp soil.

How it works: The whole fresh plant is used to prepare a soothing syrup that affects the throat, the lungs and the respiratory tract. It can be used, with beneficial effects, in bronchitis, pertussis and persistent cough. The existence of plumbagin helps in explaining the efficacy of Drosera against streptococcus, staphylococcus and pneumococcus.
