What it is: Rice is a monocotyledonous plant of the Poaceae or Gramineae family, found in two species (Oryza sativa and Oryza glaberrima) with origin from the tropical and subtropical South Asia and Africa. 7.13gr of protein is included per 100gr of white long grain rice.

How it works: Amino acids that are found in a high percentage in rice are cysteine and methionine. It is an alternative source of proteins for people who do not consume animal foods.
